SuperGrans, the Salvation Army and Equippers Church and the people in the community they care for got a boost this week when produce grower Richard Foon donated kumaras from his crop at Matawhero. The Supergrans team (pictured from left) Erina Torrey, Linda Coulston, Sam Reckas and Tiffany Zyp picked up about 30kg of kumara, and the other organsiations about 100 kilograms each. “We've got plenty left for any other community organistions interested,” Mr Foon said. “We had such a good crop and we felt it was time to give something back to the community.”
